Videos are grouped by channel. Tap a channel to open it, and use filters to show safe or blocked only. Nothing appears to the child before your approval.

Normal fetching automatically excludes live streams; the "Fetch live streams" button lists them so you approve only what you choose. This feature needs a free YouTube Data API key in YT_API_KEY and an Anthropic key in ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. Without them, manual adding still works fully.

Accepts: watch / youtu.be / shorts / embed links. Manual adding means you watched it yourself and approved it directly.

Each child gets their own favorites, time limit, and watch log. Kids switch profiles from the name circle on their screen.

Limits protect the service from abuse and keep it free for everyone. Searches are the heaviest operation; approving videos from the inbox is unlimited because it happens on your device. The test button is temporary so you can try both modes before real subscriptions are connected.

The default is the app's core: all filters on, full restriction. Uncheck any item you consciously allow for your children; its content will reach the inbox marked safe with a note about its type so you decide. The modesty filter is permanent and cannot be disabled. Changes apply to future screenings.

Adult mode suits a device used by grown-ups: screening approves news, vlogs, sports and all general content, blocking only sexual suggestiveness, nudity, kissing and sensual scenes. Applies to future screenings when approving or refreshing channels.

A 6-digit code links your family devices: your library, channels, approvals and child profiles reach every device. Create the code on your first device, then enter it on the others. Changes upload automatically and download when you open the dashboard. The parent PIN stays local to each device and is never synced.

Get a full copy of a ready-made library someone else curated: its channels and approved videos are added to yours, then they are yours to edit and delete freely. Your device is not linked to anyone, and no one can modify your library afterwards. Copying is available on all plans in full because it consumes no resources; searching for new channels and refreshing them still follow your plan limits.

The backup is a JSON file named drkids-backup-DATE including videos, channels, categories and limits. Keep it outside the device.
